even though
用於讓步子句，表示與事實相反或出乎意料的對比，語氣比 although 稍強。可放在句首或句中。句首時，從屬子句後面要加逗號。結構為 even though + 主詞 + 動詞（必須是完整子句），不可直接接名詞或動名詞。不可與 but 同時使用（避免雙重連接詞）。
範例：
Even though it was raining, we still played basketball after school.
即使在下雨，我們放學後仍然打籃球。

although
