形式與用法
find out
表示「查明、得知資訊」。可接名詞、代名詞、that 子句（that 常可省略），或 wh- 子句（who/what/when/where/why/how…）；亦常用 find out about + 名詞 表「打聽／了解…的資訊」。可分離，但代名詞作受詞務必放中間（find it out）。時態同一般動詞：過去式／分詞為 found out。

其他形式：
find out about + N
用於「打聽／了解…的資訊」。about 後接名詞或動名詞；不可將受詞放在 out 前（✗ find out it about）。
find out + wh-clause
後接 wh- 子句（when/where/how/why/who/what/whether 等）表「想知道的細節」。若需不定詞結構，常用 wh- + to V（find out how to V），不可直接用 to V（✗ find out to V）。
find out that + clause
表「得知⋯」；that 在口語中常可省略。不可用 to V 直接接子句內容。

可分離片語動詞受詞為代名詞時，代名詞必須放在動詞與小品詞之間（find it out），不能放在 out 之後。若是泛指「這件事」，用 about 結構更自然；要具體內容可用 wh- 子句。
