形式與用法

make up
表示「A 組成/構成 B」。常見結構：A make(s) up B；或搭配比例/數量：A make(s) up X% of B。此義不可分離，不可說 *make it up* 表「組成」。也不可誤用 *make up of*（應用 be made up of）或在比例前加 for（應為 make up 60% of）。
合併形式範例：
Girls make up 55% of our class.
女生佔我們班的 55%。
其他形式：
be made up of
被動用法，意為「由……組成」。主詞通常是整體，of 後接組成的部分。語氣中性、常見於說明性文字。

常見錯誤

表示「由……組成」時，不能用 make up of。要嘛用被動「be made up of」，要嘛用主動「A make(s) up B」。
