文法摘要
•
序數（ordinal numbers）用來表達「第幾個」的順序，常作形容詞放在名詞前，如 the first day
•
基本拼寫：多數在數字後加 -th；不規則：1→first(1st), 2→second(2nd), 3→third(3rd)
•
拼寫變化：five→fifth, nine→ninth, twelve→twelfth, twenty→twentieth（y→ieth）
•
特指常加 the：on the third floor, the 21st century；與所有格時不加 the：my first bike
•
日期常見：May 1st / the first of May；複合序數僅最後一個詞變序數並加連字號：twenty-first
