report 不能直接接「人」當間接受詞，如果要表示「向某人報導／報告」，必須加上介系詞 to。

作不及物動詞表示「針對某主題進行報導」時，習慣搭配介系詞 on，或是直接當及物動詞省去介系詞（reported the accident）。
