文法摘要
•
so...that... 表示「如此……以致於……」，用來強調程度並引出結果子句
•
常見結構：so + 形容詞/副詞 + that + 主詞 + 動詞；數量用 many/much/few/little
•
that 後面必須是完整子句（有主詞與動詞）

結果子句常搭配 can/could/will 來說明結果或能力

few 接可數名詞；little 接不可數名詞，表示「這麼少以致於……」

常見錯誤

that 後面需要完整子句；不可直接接情態助動詞 can 而省略主詞。

動詞 speak 後描述「方式」要用副詞 quickly，而非形容詞 quick。

books 為可數名詞複數，應搭配 many；不可用 much。

so 不能直接修飾名詞前的 a/an；名詞前要用 such...that...；若用 so，須接形容詞，不接名詞。

表「如此……以致於……」要用 so...that...，不能用 very...that。

The bag is so heavy to carry.

so...that... 需接子句表結果；若用 to V，應改為 too...to 結構表示「太……而不能」。
相似文法比較
vs. such...that...
so 用於形容詞/副詞前；such 用於名詞（可加形容詞）前：such + (a/an) + 形容詞 + 名詞 + that + 子句。

It was such a cold day that we stayed inside.
那天如此寒冷，以致於我們待在室內。
vs. too...to...
so...that... 表「如此……以致於……」（可正或負結果）；too...to... 表「太……而不能……」通常是否定結果，後接動詞原形。
