間接問句：疑問詞後面，主詞先、動詞後！

你找不到檔案，想問語音助理檔案放在哪裡！

直接問是 Where is the file?，放到 Do you know 後面，就變成 Do you know where the file is?

這種放進句子裡的問句，順序要改成「疑問詞 + 主詞 + 動詞」。

原本有 do、does、did，要拿掉，動詞再配合主詞和時間改變，像 did he fail 改成 he failed。

疑問詞本身就是主詞時，順序不用改，像 Do you know who broke the window? 裡的 who。

Do you know where the file is?

（你知道檔案放在哪裡嗎？）

再看一句：

Can you tell me when the party starts?

（能告訴我派對什麼時候開始嗎？）

常見陷阱

I don't know where is the nearest bus stop.

I don't know where the nearest bus stop is.

記住：where 後面先放主詞，再放動詞！這裡要寫 where the nearest bus stop is。

小提醒：句尾要看整句是不是在問問題。Do you know 開頭，用問號；I don't know 開頭，用句號。

whether／if：想問「是不是」，用它們接下去！

朋友約你週末去夜市，你還在想要不要去！

能用 Yes / No 回答的問句，放進句子裡時，用 whether 或 if 連接，表示「是否」。

後面用「主詞 + 動詞」的順序，像 Does he like it? 改成 I wonder if he likes it.

原本的 does 要拿掉，這裡的 like 要配合 he 改成 likes。

可以在句尾加 or not，或寫成 whether or not；也可以用 A or B 寫出兩個選擇。注意不能寫 if or not。

I don't know whether to go to the night market.

（我不知道要不要去夜市。）

再看一句：

I wonder if he likes the new T-shirt.

（我想知道他喜不喜歡那件新 T 恤。）

常見陷阱

I can't decide if to buy the red shirt or the blue one.

I can't decide whether to buy the red shirt or the blue one.

記住：後面直接接 to + 原形動詞時，只能用 whether！這裡不能用 if。

小提醒：if 也有「如果」的意思，要看句子在說什麼。I don't know if he will come. 是「我不知道他會不會來」；If he comes, I will be happy. 是「如果他來，我會很開心」。

常見問題

間接問句的順序是什麼？

疑問詞後面先放主詞，再放動詞。例如 Where is the file? 放進句子裡，要寫成 Do you know where the file is?。

沒有疑問詞的問句怎麼放進去？

用 whether 或 if 接，意思是「是不是」。例如 Is he at home? 要寫成 I don't know if he is at home.。
