常見錯誤

出現雙重否定。使用 neither...nor... 時不要再加 don't/doesn't；或改用否定 + or。

neither 要與 nor 成對使用，不能用 or。

需平行結構。likes 對應 plays（同為一般現在式動詞），而不是 like 與 to play 不一致。

both 與 and 成對；neither 與 nor 成對。不能把 both 與 nor 混用。

相似文法比較

vs. either...or...

either...or... 表示「二者其一」的肯定；neither...nor... 表示「兩者皆非」。兩者連接主詞時，動詞都與靠近的主詞一致。

Neither Mike nor his parents are at home.
麥克和他的父母都不在家。
對比文法（either...or...）
Either Mike or his parents are at home.
麥克或他的父母在家（其一）。

vs. not ... or ...（單句否定表兩者都不）

在一個否定句中用 not + 動詞，再接 A or B，也可表示兩者都不；語氣較口語。neither...nor... 較正式且更清楚。

我不喜歡蘋果也不喜歡香蕉。
對比文法（not ... or ...（單句否定表兩者都不））
I don't like apples or bananas.
