文法摘要

•
用 There isn’t/aren’t 表示「某處沒有……」，be 動詞選擇依名詞為單數、複數或不可數而定
•
否定句常與 any 搭配：不可數名詞與複數名詞用 any；單數可數名詞用 a/an
•
可用 no 取代 not any，語氣較強；no 不能與 not 或 any 同時使用
•

is not 可縮寫為 isn’t
範例：
There isn’t a book on the desk.
桌上沒有一本書。
主詞 there + is + not + any + 不可數名詞 + 介系詞片語（地點/時間）
負句不可數名詞常搭配 any
範例：
There isn’t any water in the bottle.
瓶子裡沒有水。
主詞 there + are + not + any + 複數名詞 + 介系詞片語（地點/時間）
are not 可縮寫為 aren’t
範例：
There aren’t any students in the classroom.
教室裡沒有學生。
主詞 there + is + no + 單數名詞／不可數名詞 + 介系詞片語（地點/時間）
no 表示語氣較強，不能再加 not 或 any
範例：
There is no milk in the fridge.
冰箱裡沒有牛奶。

no 直接放在名詞前，表「完全沒有」
範例：
There are no buses after 10 p.m.

複數名詞否定通常用 not any，或改用 no，更自然。
